About IIT Madras:
Indian Institute of Technology Madras is one among the foremost institutes of national importance in higher technological education, basic and applied research. In 1956, the German Government offered technical assistance for establishing an institute of higher education in engineering in India. The first Indo-German agreement in Bonn, West Germany for the establishment of the Indian Institute of Technology at Madras was signed in 1959.
The Institute has sixteen academic departments and a few advanced research centres in various disciplines of engineering and pure sciences, with nearly 100 laboratories organised in a unique pattern of functioning. Required Qualification:
- Junior Accounts Officer – M.Com. or equivalent qualification from recognized university with at least 55% marks with 01 year experience as Sr. Assistant (Accounts) or equivalent in the Grade Pay of Rs. 2800/- in Central Govt. / State Govt. / Autonomous Bodies / Public Sector Undertakings. OR B.Com or equivalent qualification from recognized university with at least 55% marks with 03 years’ experience as Sr. Assistant (Accounts) or equivalent in the Grade Pay of Rs. 2800/- in Central Govt. / State Govt. / Autonomous Bodies / Public Sector Undertaking
computer office applications like M.S Word, Excel, Power-point or equivalent is a must.
- Sr. Lib. Info. Assistant – M.Lib.Sc / MLISc or equivalent from recognized University/Institute with at least 55% marks. OR Master’s Degree in Arts / Science / Commerce or any other discipline with and also B.Lib.Sc. / B.LISc with at least 55% marks from recognized University/Institute.
- Post Graduate Diploma / Certificate Course in Computer Application / Library Automation from a recognized Institute with minimum of 06 months duration. At least 03 years working experience in a reputed library
- Assistant Security Officer – Graduate in any discipline with at least 55 % marks from a recognized University/ Institute and 05 years relevant experience.
Should have Military or NCC & Fire Fighting Training, Risk & Disaster Management Training/ First Aid
- Junior Technical Superintendent – Master Degree in Hindi from a recognized University/Institute with English as a subject at the degree level or Master degree in English from a recognized University/Institute with Hindi as a subject at the degree level with at least 55% marks and with one year relevant experience of translation in the Grade Pay of Rs. 2800 or equivalent. Bachelor Degree with Hindi as a main subject from a recognized University/Institute with English as a subject at the degree level or Bachelor degree with English as a main subject from a recognized University/Institute with Hindi as a subject at the degree level with at least 55% marks with three years relevant experience of translation in the Grade Pay of Rs. 2800 or equivalent.

Age Limit:
Candidate’s Age Limit Should not exceed (For Post 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 – 35 years), (For Post 8, 9, 10 – 30 Years), (For Post 11, 12 – 27 Years). The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules.
